SUMMARY:New Year Release Ceremony with Alex Ballew 1/1/27
DESCRIPTION:New Year Release Ceremony\nCacao • Fire Release • Breathwork • Primal Sound\nFriday\, January 1\, 20276:30 PM to 9:30 PM \n📍 The Summit Wellness Group745 Hembree Place\, Roswell\, GA 30076 \n(Serving Roswell\, Alpharetta\, Marietta\, and North Atlanta.) \nWith Sean Owen of All Heart Holistic Group and Alex Ballew of Secret River Sounds \n\nYour Journey\nGrounding\, Cacao & Arrival\nWe’ll begin by arriving fully into the space and setting intentions for the experience ahead. \nTogether\, we’ll share ceremonial cacao as a grounding ritual\, creating an opportunity to slow down\, connect inward\, and become more present with the body\, the breath\, and the intentions you’re bringing into the new year. \nFire Release Ceremony\nParticipants will be invited to reflect on what they are ready to release\, writing down old patterns\, beliefs\, experiences\, or energies they no longer wish to carry forward. \nWe’ll then gather around the fire and offer these reflections into the flames as a symbolic act of release\, creating space for something new to emerge. \nMindful Movement\nSean will guide the group through gentle somatic movement\, meditative practices\, and Tai Chi inspired exercises that release tension\, awaken body awareness\, and prepare the nervous system for deeper breathwork. \nGuided Breathwork & Meditation\nUsing intentional breathing techniques\, mindfulness\, and meditation\, participants will explore practices that help regulate the nervous system\, quiet the mind\, release stored stress\, and cultivate greater presence. \nEach experience incorporates practices drawn from Sean’s extensive background in yoga\, meditation\, nervous system regulation\, and contemplative traditions. No two sessions are ever exactly the same. \nPrimal Sound Immersion\nThe journey concludes with an expansive live sound healing experience led by Alex Ballew. \nThe room will come alive with deep resonant gongs\, didgeridoos\, crystal singing bowls\, chimes\, bells\, rain sticks\, drums\, and nature inspired sounds that invite profound relaxation and inner stillness. \nAs layers of sound and vibration wash through the body\, participants often experience a deep sense of peace\, emotional release\, renewed clarity\, and connection. \nThis immersive sound journey offers an opportunity to access the parasympathetic nervous system\, allowing the body to soften\, integrate\, and restore. \nClosing Circle\nWe’ll close the experience together with time for reflection\, integration\, and connection before stepping back into the world and into the year ahead. \n\nMeet Your Facilitators\nSean Owen\nSean Owen is the founder of All Heart Holistic Group\, a heart-centered wellness organization offering transformational breathwork\, meditation\, nervous system regulation\, and holistic wellness experiences throughout the Southeast. \nSean is a Certified Addiction Recovery Specialist\, Certified Experiential Specialist\, Certified Anger Resolution Specialist\, Reiki Master Level III\, Registered Yoga Teacher\, Breathwork Instructor\, and Meditation Teacher. He is also completing advanced training in the traditional Kalinatha Yoga lineage\, integrating timeless yogic wisdom with modern approaches to healing and personal growth. \nAlex Ballew\nAlex Ballew is a seasoned sound bath facilitator\, multi instrumentalist\, founder of Secret River Sounds\, and creator of The Secret River Experience. Since 2020\, he has guided hundreds of sound experiences for gatherings\, retreats\, studios\, and special events across the United States. \nKnown for his expansive gong work and richly layered approach\, Alex weaves gongs\, singing bowls\, didgeridoo\, percussion\, and other acoustic instruments into immersive journeys shaped by careful pacing and an intuitive response to the room. His work creates space for deep rest\, reflection\, and a renewed sense of connection. \n\nPlease Read Before You Join\nBreathwork can be intense. If you’re pregnant\, or have heart conditions\, high blood pressure\, epilepsy or seizures\, glaucoma\, or recent surgery\, check with your doctor first and breathe gently or simply rest during the practice. Ceremonial cacao is a gentle stimulant; if you take antidepressants (especially MAOIs) or have a heart condition\, please check with your doctor before drinking it. This experience is educational and not medical or mental health treatment. You can stop at any time. \n\nGetting There\nThe event space is downstairs. Please enter through the back of the building\, where parking is available. The downstairs entrance is wheelchair accessible. \n\nWhat to Bring\n• Yoga Mat \n• Pillow or Cushion \n• Blanket \n• Water Bottle \n• Eye Mask (optional) \n• Comfortable\, warm clothing for the fire \nPlease arrive by 6:15 PM to settle in. \n\nInvestment\nGeneral Admission: $77 \nIf finances are a barrier\, please reach out. We believe healing should be accessible and are happy to work with individuals whenever possible. \n\nFrequently Asked Questions\nDo I need to come to both nights?\nNo. It’s the same ceremony offered twice\, Friday\, January 1 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM and Saturday\, January 2 from 3 to 6 PM. Pick the one that works best for you. \nI’ve never done breathwork or a sound bath. Is this for me?\nYes. No experience is needed. Sean and Alex guide you through every part of the evening\, and you go at your own pace. You can slow your breath down or simply rest at any point. \nWhat is ceremonial cacao?\nCeremonial cacao is a warm drink made from whole cacao. We share it at the start as a grounding ritual to slow down and connect with your intentions for the new year. It’s a gentle stimulant\, so if you take antidepressants (especially MAOIs) or have a heart condition\, please check with your doctor before drinking it. \nDo I have to drink the cacao?\nNo. You’re always welcome to sit that part out and still be fully part of the ceremony. \nWhat happens at the fire release?\nYou’ll take some time to reflect on what you’re ready to let go of. Old patterns\, beliefs\, experiences\, or energy you don’t want to carry into the new year. You’ll write it down\, and then we’ll gather around the fire and offer it into the flames as a symbolic act of release. \nWhat is the primal sound immersion like?\nYou’ll lie down and rest while Alex fills the room with gongs\, didgeridoos\, crystal singing bowls\, chimes\, drums\, and nature inspired sounds. Most people simply relax and let the sound move through them. Many feel a deep sense of peace\, release\, and clarity afterward. \nWhat should I bring and wear?\nBring a yoga mat\, a pillow or cushion\, a blanket\, a water bottle\, and an eye mask if you like. Wear comfortable\, warm clothing\, since part of the ceremony is around the fire. \nWhere do I park and how do I get in?\nThe event space is downstairs at The Summit Wellness Group. Please enter through the back of the building\, where parking is available. The downstairs entrance is wheelchair accessible. \nWhen should I arrive?\nPlease arrive by 6:15 PM so you have time to set up your space and settle in before we begin. \nIs breathwork safe for everyone?\nFor most people\, yes. If you’re pregnant\, or have heart conditions\, high blood pressure\, epilepsy or seizures\, glaucoma\, or recent surgery\, check with your doctor first. You can always breathe gently or simply rest during the practice. This experience is educational and not medical or mental health treatment. \nWhat should I do afterward?\nGive yourself some space if you can. Drink water\, eat something nourishing\, and keep the rest of your night gentle. Many people notice they sleep deeply that night. \nWhat if the price is a barrier for me?\nPlease reach out. We believe healing should be accessible. \n\nReserve Your Spot\nSpace is limited. \nReserve your spot today and begin the new year lighter\, clearer\, and more at home in yourself.

\nWhen should I arrive?\nPlease arrive by 2:45 PM so you have time to set up your space and settle in before we begin. Drink water\, eat something nourishing\, and keep the rest of your day gentle.
